Mesmerized in a great desperate mood,
I hath miss’d thee,
And thought o’ thee with my whole heart,
On the slopes of Ararat,
I hath a challenge
To keep thy eternal flame
Within me while ye’re away
In spite of the frost!
Just a memory of yer glimpse
Was enough to keep my future and hopes alive,
Even when the tiny dust and huge rocks around yielded
Against the Zephyrus the Freezing
Covered with a purity,
All turn’d out to be still
Yet the love within me
Kept my soul full o’ breath and joy
Though everything was on their last legs.
