Story of A Drop

Since I don’t know from where I come
And how I did come into being
No background there’s, yet I need some
As it’s like looking without seeing

I am the one in a million
Appearin’ somewhere hanging high
Just like a Lacedominian
I’m fighting against the blue sky

There’s no land, no way or a route
This blue vastness is not a see
Of width or depth I have no thought
I’m only hovering like a bee

At last I saw in great gaiety
My men were hanging there as well
We became white pile in purity
And also had many things to tell

In time, we grew on all the way
Turned out to be cotton in white
Or a huge soft bed, so to say
A child e’er dreamt of lyin’ in sigh

Then ‘the others’ came, we got dark
And we were contaminated
It ne’er rained but poured, twas real lark
Which means that we were ill-fated

Odin sent his blow and we’re cursed
Never ending blow took us away
The way master wished: as he burst’d
We gave in on such a curs’d day

Dragged to and fro, we’re in exile
E’en without askin’ east or west
After I left my heavenly nest,
Would you, now, like to hear the rest?

Against the Lord, Odin, we hang’d
Yet Zephyrus made us feel cold
‘Twas the lament that Sirens sang
Nothing to wonder, that’s quite bald

My brothers rioted one by one
There broker out a war in the end
Hesitate within me’s all gone
I fought against them with my band

No happiness did the air bring
It was high time we all had gone
To each other we had to cling
And give hand to hand, just to flee

Only for the sake of being free
And of bein’ releas’d o’this exile
With our sincere heart, we call thee
Hope that it’ll never end in futile

‘Great Redeemer, Great Redeemer
Say go ‘head for the land promised
Let us not be a poor dreamer
Yet grant us liberty we’ve missed’

‘Twas the heavenly Lord who heard us
And gave a hand when we’re in need
We all were interwoven thus
He transfigured all, which’s his deed

That’s the miracle of Saviour
To favour and change us at once
We became heavier and heavier
I saw all falling with a glance

Like a feature, we descended
As feely as a bird can be
Some of us’ already landed
Far away: fine or worse, maybe

I see, there, a white cloth beneath
The very place my brothers dwell
It lies everywhere in neat
And far from the abandoned hell

In thick fog, everywhere is vague
Dress’d in an artificial cloth
E’en mountains seemed as though they’re fake
All is the same from north to south

Uncertainty accompanied
We’d no idea where to land
That’s the reason we were worried
During the whole time we have spent

Moreo’er the cold wind also wailed
Then a sudden fall affected
Dragg’d from the very route we have sailed
We sailed as Odin directed

Soon after some time flittering
Finally I landed down safe
Others were all there glittering
And some were still falling in wave

The cold wind left and the sun came
Shining with bright rays all around
A weird feeling grasped: I can’t name
But it says we’ll not stay as mound

Something weird happen'd suddenly
I began to lose my spirit
The dark blanket above, slightly
Mov'd away and still I feel it

The rays of golden ball stroke
Which made me'n my company melt
Soon there appear'd a thick white fog
"An Odyssea's ahead" I felt

The very moment on my mind
I had this queer feeling and thought
I thaw'd with the wind gentle'n kind
Pondering that e'erything is naught

On this endless chall'nging journey
I'm the mere Odysseus
I've set off once 'gain lonely
Having receiv'd the wrath of Zeus

Hard to admit, but this'll go on
On my way, there is no release
If only I'd a'Lord like Solon
The exile would surely cease.
